Welcome to Cleft Bangladesh!

What is Cleft Bangladesh?

Cleft Bangladesh is a cooperation of international and Bangladeshi NGOs and surgeons initiated in November 2018. Our goal is to provide free comprehensive treatment to all Bangladeshis with cleft lip and palate, a common birth defect. We perform surgeries at hospitals and on surgical missions throughout the country, with the goal to eventually build up an interdisciplinary comprehensive cleft care infrastructure. You can arrange treatment with us with a simple phone call.

In 2022, our Bangladeshi surgeons provided 1,786 operations to cleft children in need in Bangladesh.

Cleft Bangladesh – Who we are

The Cleft Bangladesh partners are the German Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe (DCKH), the Australian Operation Cleft Australia (OCA), and the Bangladeshi Syed Nuruddin Ahmed Development Foundation (SNADF). DCKH monitors and controls all administrative matters and coordinates growth. You can find out more about the partner organizations here.
